WINGATE — David M. Gardiner, retired Wingate merchant, was found dead at his home about 7 a. m. Monday. He was found by a neighbor, Don Irvin. Mr. Gardiner, who had been ill the past two days, is believed to have died about 4 o'clock Monday morning. He had lived in the Wingate community many years and was in partnership with a brother, Harry Gardiner, in grocery and dry goods business. He was twice married. His first marriage was to a Miss Martin who preceded him in death. His second marriage was to Olive Rowe who also preceded him in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mark Kerr of Logan, Ohio; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
